Where Chris Stands On the Issues:
A Safe and Welcoming Community
Support for our hard-working police department -while assuring they put the community’s needs first. Support for, and careful oversight of technologies that put more criminals behind bars.
Championed greater funding for our amazing Fire Department.
Has taken numerous steps to elevate the voices, and address the concerns, of our vital Latino community.
Strong support for the L&M Villiage and other successful efforts to reduce homelessness.
Working for improved roads and safer bike lanes.
Affordability and Livability
Strong advocacy for the dog park, trails and infrastructure at Fitch Mountain, support for the Magical Bridge Playground, for our refurbished library, and for the emerging multicultural center at the Abel De Luna Community Center.
Has pressed for housing solutions with a single goal in mind; greater affordability for working families wishing to stay in Healdsburg.
Has worked to safeguard child care, food assistance, worker’s rights, renter’s rights, and health care services for those whose need is greatest.
Has made tough decisions to maintain our infrastructure in order to save taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars during the coming decade.
A strong advocate for our essential workers with strong ties to local unions.
An enthusiastic supporter of essential non-profit partners, which include The Rotary and Kiwanis clubs, The Healdsburg Farmers Market, Corazon Healdsburg, The Healthcare Foundation. Alliance Medical Center, Reach for Home, and The Healdsburg Unified School District.
The Future
Will lean on voices in our community for guidance as we plan for the SMART station area, the South entry, and improvements throughout town.
Working to make the SMART train’s arrival in Healdsburg work for the entire community.
Fought for major advances in water resilience in the face of future drought and reduced Russian River flow.
Support for our public electric utility which offers the cheapest power in the county. Cheaper power makes the eventual move to electric vehicles more affordable, and new public chargers make it more convenient.
